Holiday Inn Royal Victoria Sheffield – Charity Work

Posted on

The Holiday Inn Royal Victoria Sheffield is very proud to associate with and raise funds for The Children’s Hospital Charity. The hotel and its staff have been fundraising through several activities such as treks, runs, bag-packs, sky dives, open water swimming and raffles. We even had a group cycling from San Remo to Venice known as the Crack O’Dawn Riders who cycled 450 miles in one week. We have been very fortunate so far and thank ever so sincerely to all our fundraisers and supporters for accepting and contributing to our cause. As of 2017, the hotel has raised £38,287.56 and sponsored one of the new bedrooms and 2 treatment rooms so far.

Proud to be part of #TeamTheo.

Why we are doing this?

Helen Beck (Group Sales Director), “for me it’s about wanting to make life better in some small way and give something back to society so everyone can benefit. We started raising money for the Charity in October 2014, the first event being the 10 10 10 at Endcliffe Park, from there we have done various activities like Sheffield half marathon, Tesco Bag Packing, Champagne raffles during the Christmas party nights, TrekFest the Peaks (13mile) , Skydive´s, Great North Swim – Windermere (2 mile open swim), 2.5k fun run.
