The
Ballroom
Our grand Victorian ballroom is the jewel in the crown of the Royal
Victoria. It is decorated in the finest taste and has been restored
to all its former glory during recent restoration works and features
a large scale dancefloor.
The ballroom will hold up to 600 people as a reception room or
up to 400 for a dinner dance. The versatile ballroom looks splendid,
set up in either the style of a traditional banquet and a modern
conference with plenty of room for traditional requirements.

The
Assembly Room
Interconnecting to the Ballroom is our second largest room, the
Assembly room, which boasts the same elegant appearance, has a capacity
for up to 100 people and it's own private bar.
It offers plenty of natural daylight from its traditional tall
windows and with the option of utilising the dance floor, it makes
the Assembly room the perfect choice for many occasions.
Arundel
Room One
This room is ideally suited for a large boardroom or classroom meeting
and has the option of utilising the adjoining Arundel Room two for
more specific purposes such as assessment centres or group working
activities.
This room offers traditional splendour with modern practicality.
Arundel Room Two
This room is on a smaller scale to its adjoining room Arundel Room
One. It shares the same fine décor and also has plenty of
natural daylight.
It is a smaller room that is more compact and suitable for boardroom,
banquet and classroom occasions. The Arundel Room Two has plenty
of character and when dressed accordingly, will delight its occupants.
York
Suite
The York Suite is one of our larger meeting rooms. It is situated
on a corner of the building, which fills two of its walls with windows
encouraging an abundance of natural light to fill the room.
The York Suite has many purposes but is ideally suited as a meeting
room for 45 people theatre style, as its natural light enables great
visibility for all delegates.
The York Suite is a versatile room being able to cater for all
different types of occasion and to delight all delegates.
Great
Central Room
Named after the heritage of the hotel and its locomotive past this
room is a multipurpose room suitable for large meetings or civil
weddings.
It is a large room with splendid decoration and lots of natural
daylight. This makes it suitable for large group activities or meetings,
small banquets or a large boardroom. No matter what the set-up,
the Great Central offers easy access and lots of space for your
meeting needs.
Waverly
Room
This purposeful function room lends itself to theatre style presentations
for up to 45 people. It is well located within the centre of the
hotel with great access.
It has an external doorway and is most suitable for a theatre style
set-up or to a product launch. It is situated just off the grand
lounge which offers easy access to the bar and restaurant facilities.
Midland
Suite
This grand room lends itself to boardroom meetings for up to 12
people. With its fine mahogany panelling and beautiful wooden fireplace
it creates a splendid atmosphere for its occupants.
The Midland room offers a great atmosphere and an ideal meeting
location for a sensitive or private meeting. Despite its size, it
is a grand room which looks stunning and creates an air of elegant
professionalism when set-up for boardroom meetings.
The
Victoria Rooms
Our Victorian meeting suite is furnished with six modern rooms of
varying dimensions and capacities. They are all located together
for the convenience of the occupants.
These rooms are all of a similar style and similar size except
the two smaller rooms, which are ideal for a small discussion, boardrooms
or interviews.
All
of the rooms are elegantly decorated and are wonderfully appointed
to suit the modern conference needs.
